"What does the bible teach us about Healing? How can I receive healing?
These are all important questions we may have.
Jesus, or the Lord, is often seen as someone who brings healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Think of Him as compassionate, always ready to help and restore people who are hurting.
When you look at the stories from the Bible, you'll find that Jesus didn’t just heal a few people in a special place; He healed anyone who came to Him, no matter what their condition was. Blind people could see, sick people became healthy, and even those with deep emotional wounds felt comforted in His presence.
But Jesus' healing wasn’t always just about fixing the body. He cared about the heart and soul, too. So, while people would come to Him for physical healing, He also offered peace to those who felt lost, forgiveness to those who felt guilty, and hope to those who felt hopeless.
One of the most beautiful things about Jesus as the healer is that He didn’t make people earn it. He didn’t ask for perfection. He met people where they were, showing them love, patience, and grace. His healing was a way of showing God’s love in action, reminding everyone that no matter how broken or far away they felt, they could always find restoration in Him.
He is still willing to heal today— So, at the heart of it all, Jesus as the healer is about more than just fixing what’s broken—it's about restoring people to wholeness.
“When they are sick, God will restore them, lying upon their bed of suffering. He will raise them up again and restore them back to health.”
Psalm 41v3
